In P.E. we are starting a new unit lesson on jump bands where a team of 5 or 6 put together a performance for the class. In this unit I learned both enders and inside people are important. L learned a ender is the person that has the bands on and does their step pattern which is together together apart apart. A inside person is the person who goes over the bands with their pattern of step, hop, step, step.
During P.E. we were doing our physical fitness test since yesterday was a bad air day. We tested push-ups,curl-ups, and trunk lift. I learned that a proper push-up would be at a 90 degree angle. I also learned that the trunk lift tests your flexibility.
Lacrosse is different than most games (Soccer for instance) it has more contact (for boys game) and you can only hold the ball for about 5 seconds. I learned that if you hold the ball for over 5 seconds you have to drop it and let the other team get it. Also in the field you can go behind the goalie. Each player can only go so far in the field but they have a limit where they have to stop and pass to a different player who can go over the line.
During P.E. we are starting a new lesson on lacrosse. I learned Lacrosse we originally not a friendly game and it was used from belief to war. But later the French played it and changed the rules to make this a friendly game. Also I learned that the gear that the men and girls wear are different since the men have more contact with each other than the women.
During P.E. we could not play badminton since it was a bad air day so we played crab soccer inside. I learned that the name "crab soccer" meant that we had to go in crab walk position and kick the ball as we do the crab walk. It was hard since we only had 2 min. to win it. But not only that it was embarrassing.
In king of the court we gathered up with our partners and were placed in a badminton court. Each court represented a level and 1st court was the top. My partner and I were in 1st court for 3 round but lost once but we came back up again. It was fun, I learned that when you hit the birdie it should be below the waist. Also to hit better make sure birdie is lined up with the bracket.

during P.E. we toke notes on badminton to understand the rules before we went out to play it. We learned the racquet's structure and bird's structure as well. Once we finished the notes we paired up with a partner and practiced serving and doing rallies. I learned that its easier to serve if you don't throw it in the air since its likely if you did it that way you would miss. My beat rally was 8 strokes and I did really well. Even though there were a few flaws I think I did great, aim and accuracy is something I need to work on. During P.E. we got into our groups and did a group activity called All Aboard. The object of the game is to get as many people(limit 12) on the tire for 7 sec. without falling so this required team collaboration where everyone needed to help. Our group came in first place because we fitted 12 people on the tire for 7 seconds. But it wasn't easy it toke effort, teamwork, balance and to corporate with everyone. I learned that if you didn't have balance it might cause your whole team to fall.

During P.E. our class did things a little different since our teacher wasn't here so we had a substitute. After we did some curl ups and push ups to practice for the fitness test. We did half a walk run through the neighborhood to get our daily exercise, then we went to the podding basement. We were each giving 3 rings a team and we each had half of the field for capture the flag. This game required a lot of teamwork and a good strategy. In this game there had to be runners and defenders, and without one the other would be meaningless. Also I learned that if you don't have enough that would cause some major problems. Our group didn't win all of them games but we tried our best. I was a defender but the problem was that there were not enough defenders to catch the people who had the ring, this is what caused my team to not win. |
